• Because there isn’t really much positive. This really won’t change much. I get that linux gamers have been left out for a long time, and want more inclusion, but it’s just not going to happen. As for the steam deck, I doubt most people using it even realize it’s linux.

I’m super fine with 2-3%. Most games work, and we run them on a operating system that is super fast, ad free, tracking free, beautiful and doesn’t cost a dime.

I’m so happy im a Linux user, specially now in 2023.

The majority will always be dummies abused by the corps.

      • Absolutely, I’m not trying to shit on linux users, I understand the appeal. I just don’t think this news is as big as it’s purporting to be.

Yeah the numbers are tiny so I see your point of view. But I’m also aware what happens if Linux becomes very popular - then you get tracking, ads, corporate controls and so on. I think we are right in the sweet spot now.

I doubt most people using it even realize it’s linux.

You say that with zero realization of how that indicates a huge step forward for Linux. The day it can be used by people who don’t know what it is without caring is a huge step toward ubiquity.

it’s just not going to happen

Is an ignorant guess and nothing more.
