A top comment asks “why so mad against french?”, and the OP (the main mod and poster of MoG) suggests it’s because we “hate france’s freedom of speech and their ‘anti-islam stance’”. Declines to share a link or context to the comment
Out of curiosity I went looking for the context to that comment, and discovered that it was in reaction to a wildly Islamophobic cartoon making a joke about Gazan’s starving during the month of ramadan [linky] [CW: Racism, Islamophobia, genocide]:

Turns out libs actually do practice critical support, but instead of critically supporting AES projects they support any state crusading against muslims.
the notion that Gazans are being genocided as retribution for their “universal religious fundamentalism” is fucking asinine, not least because the genocidaires are engaged in their own explicitly ethnotheocratic state project
I definitely misread their statement, but the reality of what they are saying is so much more depraved than what I assumed that I am completely overcome with disgust.
