Does anyone else play these games first and foremost, as if they were an item hoarding simulator?
My largest goal is always to establish a base of operations, and then collect everything I can get my hands on.

I wander in FNV and only keep what I can carry.
In FO4 I find the material hunting to build up a base to be incredibly tedious and boring. Usually I’ll just console command max levels of raw materials so that I can build a settlement to my liking. This helps me because when I’m out in the wasteland I can focus on the ambiance, the quest, and the world without being distracted by having to make sure I bring home enough glue and springs. I essentially treat the base building and the wasteland questing like two distinct games.
FO1 and FO2, well, I take what I can get as a vault dweller or chosen one.
