We use AI to help code at work. it does a good job at creating some boiler plate stuff, but I definitely wouldn’t use it to create super intricate stuff. It will create stuff that definitely doesn’t work and acts so confident about it.
It’s really funny when you can literally see where it is calling incorrect functions and tell it no. It fixes it, and then 2 or 3 prompts later it goes back to calling those wrong functions again.

I’ve used Mint, popOS, and some others. I always recommend new people use the desktop version of Bazzite now.
It’s super newbie friendly. So much stuff is installed and set up for you that the average person won’t even need to touch command line. Also, the Bazaar has pretty much anything someone would need for day to day stuff.
Obviously, if you are the type of person to make serious changes at the OS level then it’s not great for that, but most people just need something to browse the internet, play some games, and maybe do some word docs and stuff.

I was really looking forward to getting to play with the steam frame soon. 😔

Oh no. Won’t someone please think of the rich people… /s
I’m just using the website. You can go to https://piefed.social/topics and it groups posts across instances by topic.
Heard of piefed while browsing lemmy, and people were saying it did a good job of combining communities. Before that, was a reddit refugee after the api fiasco.

Well those feelings were all over the place. 😂

I used it once or twice on Windows. Vegan just downloading and installing them manually cuz it put the files in the wrong places
I hope we get encrypted hosting sites that can help people do easy automated setups. A bunch of people want something that is just create a server and go. I know several discord admins that aren’t really hardware and self hosting literate.
