Fuck AI@lemmy.world•AI cost crisis hits tech giants as employee 'tokenmaxxing' backfires, sparking corporate pullback at Microsoft, Meta, and Amazon — agentic AI eats up to 1000x more tokens than standard AI
47·5 days agoI miss times where you copy pasted whatever you had to google and correct stack overflow link was first result so you copy pasted first answer back to your IDE and everything magically worked. Now it’s tokenmaxxing, ai guide spec files, skill files, agentic development, copilot code reviews and trainings because you’re doing things wrong, you need to be context engineer, vibe code engineer, prompt engineer to use AI efficiently but event if you do all of it you’re still doing things wrong.

Self-hosting@slrpnk.net•Help needed: Selfhosted website only reachable through http, not https
4·6 days agoIf you’re using nginx you need SSL certificate - most likely Let’s encrypt. Example tutorial that looks decent is here https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-secure-nginx-with-let-s-encrypt-on-ubuntu-20-04
But then you need a cronjob or something to renew certificate.
If you’re familiar with nginx it’s worth to install openresty that is nginx + lua scripts and it have thing like autossl that is configure and forget about your ssl renewal because it’s doing it automatically https://github.com/auto-ssl/lua-resty-auto-ssl
