Yeah I already tried shotcut and it was usable but not great, it has trouble with audio preview. Swapped to kdenlive and no issues
Yeah, self-critique is important but you can never see everything
The most impressive art is when people learn the rules well enough to ignore them.
People who are “talented” might start out at a better point in a field than others but they’ll hit a wall where they have to actually put in work to go further, that comes all at once instead of in small steps.
It really is just persistence and accepting a certain amount of “I’m so bad at art” for eternity. Just make something, draw, paint or whatever. Look for things that motivate you to make stuff and learn to do it anyway, sucking is the first step to being kinda good at something.
People in general shouldn’t be self-governing but we don’t have fully automated luxury gay space communism yet so this is supposedly the best we can do
Arguably a priest who really cared would be morally obligated to speak up about a situation like the one being described, even if the consequence is excommunication.
Kdenlive is surprisingly good from my limited experience with it. But blender can do basically everything so that’s also an option.
Reminds me of when I was doing driving practice with my mum before I got my license, turned off the main road onto what I thought was just a small residential street and quickly realised it was a shared driveway type thing for maybe 4 houses. Anyway this guy is watching the whole time from his garage workshop thing and halfway through me turning to leave he knocks on the window and basically says I can’t go in there and I should turn around in the space between the road and the outer edge of the pavement. I didn’t think I had enough room to do that safely and he cast doubts on my fitness to drive. I would have already left by then. Anyway I passed like a month later. I wasn’t on his part of that drive and had no plans of ever going there again. If he didn’t want people occasionally turning onto that spot he shouldn’t have chosen a house by the main road. Actual clown, I’m still annoyed.
I guess it makes sense from a transitional perspective and I imagine they’ve gotten better over time. The last time I remember having a substitute it was much worse than the actual thing though.
Maybe the coffee he makes is good based on the tastes of whoever’s getting it and they really like a pile of sugar cubes in their cup?
In my experience vegan food is a lot better when it’s not trying to pretend to be meat
Eh, I’ve mostly moved over to Godot for actual game making
I think Mildred is too much like mildew to be a great idea buuut that’s my opinion so do what you want with it
For drawing/painting yeah, krita is comparable, especially if you set the presets to be similar to ps. I haven’t tried krita with photo editing much though
I wish my OCD affected me actually finishing things
It makes most things it touches flammable but won’t ignite by itself
Well I’m pretty sure I responded to a comment about catching cats going through your garden. I’m talking about normal cats, not strays. Most people fix them or at least that’s what it seems like.
One of my top games of all time tbh
