  • they are though. The 20th century Fox X-Men are in it, So is Deadpool, probably Blade too at some point.

The thing is from a COMICS point of view, unfortunately, this makes sense along with the casting of RDJ as Doom and especially now in this trailer where it highlights the fact Rogers has a kid even more so. let me explain.

a few years ago Marvel redid their Secret Wars arc but called it Battleworld. Basically Doom fused a bunch of alternate marvel dimensions together and called it Battleworld. things like Evil Avengers, Marvel Zombies, 90s X-Men, etc all got merged into this world in separate areas and Doom ruled it all. Now on one of these worlds Rogers had a daughter named Ellie who ended up becoming the leader of a resistance movement against that worlds “Evil Avengers” which I now believe will be a main plot point of these films and the reason Cap is back. He’s not good, he’s the evil version and I believe in this evil avengers version Iron Man IS Doctor Doom or becomes Doom. thus RDJ being cast as Doom as he’ll be the evil version of Iron Man. This is also how they explain bringing in the 20th Century Fox version of the X-Men as well as stuff like Deadpool and Blade and whatever else (venom, ghost rider, daredevil, like 3 versions of the Hulk, etc, etc) so then ALL the previous marvel films from all the various studios will now be officially canon to the mainline MCU thanks to Battleworld.

So them revealing Evans returning as Rogers is sort of a swerve. He’s not the good guy, he’s one of the bad guys. None of these films every deviate in a big way from the various comic sources, there’s always basic plot points. Every movie has been inspired or used plots from the comics, I can’t recall a single MCU movie that was truly an original story. Hell I’d even go as far as to say the X-Men in this film will go after Wanda because in their reality she was responsible for “no more mutants”.

  • I would suggest when you decide to give Arch a go for the first time to start out with something like CachyOS to get your legs under you so you can easily understand it. That being said Arch is painfully easy to install now thanks to Archinstall but going the CachyOS route it’ll install the packages you need and then you can understand what you do and don’t need when it comes time to install regular Arch. Otherwise you might just install Arch and then wonder why some stuff doesn’t work because you didn’t install certain packages.

  • I think Tony just doesn’t like or get certain comedy aspects in wrestling and a lot of the time he “allows it” purely based on fan reaction. There’s been countless “comedy” acts in AEW that got over with the fans but were gradually buried over time.

When Danhausen was signed he was absolutely HOT on the internet and in the indies due to his own hard work. He was literally one of the best merch sellers in AEW when he was signed. like top 3. But I think the combination of Tony not ‘getting it’ and Danhausens personal friendship with the likes of CM Punk and Ethan Page didn’t help matters once they both left as he really had no one left fighting for him.

Also keep in mind when he was signed he literally just had that absolutely brutal leg injury and TK is the type of person to help people out in such cases so honestly his signing could have just been a sort of hand out.

I could see Danhausen doing alright in the low card of WWE or NXT as a comedy act and he has more friends over in the Fed right now that could potentially put in a good word for him. We know he’s a merch seller and could easily become WWE’s “homegrown” Mr. Iguana.

  • it’s never as simple as that. Sure you can take it over to continue maintaining it but you now also have to stay on top of git issues. I’ve known maintainers who are the only ones on a fork they took over so not only are they continuing to develop they’re now also the only one dealing with issue requests which can easily derail you from development. Sure there are ways to handle that and schedule it but a lot of people don’t do that and get burned out.

I mean I dealt with this myself. several months ago I built an extension for firefox that tied into lemmy and mastodon and I just abandoned it. I was spending more time dealing with users than actually working on it and just said screw it, this isn’t fun. So now I just make all my repos private.
