  • Nothing is wrong with you it’s human nature to want to be understood and accepted and validated.

Finding people who will be a part of your life and not just in it takes time, but they exist. But for them to be there they need to know they are needed. They can’t read your mind even if we think we’re being obvious.

Vulnerability is seen as a weakness far too often. But it is a strength because you are opening yourself up to someone who can help protect you.

Therapy could be a good start to help you see green flags in relationships as well as red flags.

It’s tough, maybe one of the toughest decisions you can make to better yourself, but one of the most important as well.

  • As someone who suffered migraines for 15 years daily, peppermint was more effective than most meds I was given. Didn’t matter if it was the oils or teas or candy. Peppermint just helped.

For me though, moving out of Arizona to Oregon was the cure. Not sure if it’s a change in pollution, change in barometric pressure or something else, but after 15 years of daily migraines, I moved and went to having maybe 3 a year. Mileage may vary, my sister in law moved away from Seattle to Arizona due to her migraines and hers got better in Arizona.

  • Yeah if this is all your therapist does file a complaint with the state board.

But a good therapist will engage with you and help you process and let go.

Trauma keeps your past in the present. Your body is responding to an event that is no longer occurring, and is often an unconscious response that you can’t just choose to let go of.

A therapist should be using techniques that help your body and your mind to realize that the trauma is not actively occurring so you can get back to normal functioning faster.

A great therapist will also give you the tools you need so that you don’t need to keep going back to therapy, except for maybe check ins every couple of years to make sure you’re still functioning okay.

Not every therapist clicks with every client and that’s okay. Shop around, I guarantee you therapists understand they won’t be a perfect fit for everyone and may even help you find a better fit if you tell them what isn’t working for you with them.
