Trying to get us to be mods… Sounds like a… Conspiracy!

I had a coworker with no hands. I noticed right away. I did fail to notice he also had no feet for about a year though. I probably shouldn’t have blurted out “You have no feet?” Really loud when I finally did notice. He did a really good “Holy cow, where’s my feet go?!” though.

They say because he disrupted the performance, but we’ll never know. I can tell you that crowd… Probably not super receptive.

I landed on Fedora Gnome as my default choice unless I have a reason to go other. My wife finally stuck with Linux after trying Mint, Ubuntu, Pop, and Ubuntu Mate, then landing on Fedora KDE. (When I say trying, I mean me trying to get her to use it and then her abandoning the machine for Windows.) Fedora KDE stuck.

So, I’ve been going since… 1990. I’ve got tickets for this Saturday. Not sure what to do. Maybe go, then wait till his replacement goes to bow and just yell “Free Palestine” really loud? Maybe ask for my money back? Cancel my season tickets? Legit torn.

My immediate supervisor at work knows how bad I get earworms, and does Baby Shark whenever I annoy him. It’s in there now, thanks to this.

It wasn’t that. I wish! The actual last time I used that word was when I was interacting with a retired pro-wrestler, and he used the word in a very weird, convoluted sentence, and I quoted him verbatim to my (now) wife. Never met Mr. Jackson, I just saw an interview where he told the interviewer to say it and the guy wouldn’t. I will say it if I am quoting someone verbatim, it is in the punchline of a non-offensive, non-racist joke, or if Samuel L Jackson orders me to (in person.) Only one of those has ever happened.

Yeah, I know enough too, but I worry about the sneaky details I don’t know.

So, word of caution. Be careful. I tried using Copilot to open a connection for a single port between two LANs on my network in pfsense, as I didn’t know pfsense. It happily recommended opening 0.0.0.0/0 on the first LAN’s gateway address. It worked!.. By opening everything on the whole network up to anything at all. The problem with AI: you can only use it if you already know enough to catch its horrible screw ups.

Exactly this. Not dropping 70K for an electric vehicle that was designed to crap out after 5 years.

I am running Mint 19 xfce 32-bit on a Pentium 4 with 1gb of RAM. Works okay. Not seeing showed records, but useable for, like, 2 or 3 tabs or for word processing. You could probably do a bit better with that system.

Showed this to my wife. “Even more if it has pockets!”

I sync my podcasts hourly with Nextcloud and poddersync, so when my servers go down, my phone beeps at me.
