I use e-ink whenever I’m not doing work. Easier on the eyes.

Not an expert, but the way I understand it is that, instead of b and d looking the same, and p and q looking the same, all rightward facing loops are italicized, and all leftward facing loops are left very round, so a brain that has trouble with mirroring images won’t get confused. They also use serifs, so a capital I and a small L aren’t similar.

My two cents: I ran a bit of both for a long time, and whenever something broke, I tended to jump ship on that device. I’m now only running 2 Ubuntu VMs, and all my bare metal is Fedora or Debian. Most of my VMs are one of those two as well. Snaps break or lag. Snaps kick me out in the middle of use. Debian is hard to use, but it’s still my computer, not theirs. Fedora is a bit easier to me.

I just had two 4TBs eat it on me simultaneously… I lost the entirety of a bunch of utterly replaceable stuff, thank God.

An ungodly mess of cables, planks, threaded rod, and old, used servers! My very own Proxmox Cluster! I have spent years tweaking and changing it, but I’ve had some services up (not, like, continuously) for 13 years now. The original server was an i7-950, and now I’m on dual Xeon Silver on my newest box.

Fun fact: I used Libre Office to write an essay for school. I then saved as docx and uploaded it to my class page, the teacher had formatting weirdness so she asked me to resubmit. So I copy pasted the text into word for web, resubmitted… And promptly got called in for submitting AI. Her rationale? “No edits, no version history…” I had the email proof. What a moron.

I ordered this, still haven’t even shipped it… Sigh I haven’t the patience.
