If you knew nothing else about him, this might almost seem funny.

Why? Just a little kid being a kid.
She had said something like “I love you two hundred” to her mom, and her dad was joking with mom about it.

Technology@lemmy.world•Manager at Associated Press Tells Journalists That Resistance to AI Is Futile
13·2 days agoThe paper’s editor had lamented how an intern pulled out of a reporting fellowship after discovering that the position required feeding notes into an AI writing tool instead of writing stories.
Power move. I wish that intern a long and successful career.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Does anyone else feel like fediverse (particulary Lemmy) is getting more and more quieter?
8·2 days agoIt happens from time to time. Post and comment more.
For those of you who don’t know, “I love you 3,000” is a quote from Avengers: Endgame. It’s particularly adorable because it’s said by a little girl, and three thousand is probably the largest number she can imagine.

I love this term. Of course, I’d love it even more if people didn’t have to go to war, but I’ll take what I can get.
I have massive respect for anyone who’s been addicted, done the work, and overcome it. It shows a level of determination, maturity, and self awareness that many people don’t have.

Ask@piefed.social•Married people, do you have a wedding ring? Do you always wear it?
2·2 days agoI always wear my father’s wedding ring, although I don’t plan on getting married myself. I don’t wear any other jewelry.

The look on his face makes this much funnier. He has already reached the “acceptance” phase of dealing with trauma.
A good question

39·4 days agoThe German constitution, or Basic Law, enshrines people’s right not to join the military…
Why so many demonstrators, then? If the Basic Law is sorta like the US Constitution, then I imagine it can’t be quickly or easily changed.
King sued (and won) because the movie had so little to do with his story

Fuck AI@lemmy.world•That's my cue to join another PeerTube instance
16·5 days agoI find it pretty hypocritical for a musician to think that using AI for their album cover is somehow okay. Regardless of the medium, AI relies on the theft of human creativity, and I’m surprised that “Billy” doesn’t take that more seriously.
Of course, I’m assuming that the music itself isn’t AI slop, which it very well may be.

At least I acknowledge that I’m too impatient to have kids.
