  • I would say listen to and learn from as many sources as you can.

Some great United States journalists have worked with RT. Until it got censored, as many platforms are doing with the help of the oligarchy and their political lackeys. I have communities for some.

Western propaganda is well and all, but we must work harder to understand the bigger picture by also searching for non-Western propaganda and sources.

Independent journalists and commentators can be found on many platforms; I have made communities for a few.

It is true that corporately tied and backed sources and people are increasing as MSM influence decreases; they start funding people in naturally ‘independent’ areas.

We must always be critical of all governments and politicians.

We must work hard to seek out views that we do not agree with so as to not stay in our self-built echo chambers and our self-censorship.

“I would unite with anybody to do right and with nobody to do wrong.” – Frederick Douglass

“Don’t be in a hurry to condemn because he doesn’t do what you do or think as you think or as fast. There was a time when you didn’t know what you know today.” – Malcolm X

  • Do you see Mark Zuckerberg and Peter Thiel as part of the oligarchy?

Is calling them out on what they do being a shill? I think it would be the opposite of a shill.

Glenn has already proven himself with his record and investigative journalism, especially his work with Edward Snowden.

    fascist oligarch shill

I am not sure these words have any meaning when they continue to be used so loosely.

We may not agree with him 100% on all topics, but I don’t think there are people you can agree with 100%, unless you are an apologetic or celebrity worshipper and you just blindly follow people.

I see the topic he discusses here as important, and it is directly tied into technology, with Mark and Thiel being the direct tie.

I am interested in learning about the criticism of the analysis and arguments Glenn has made that you disagree with.

Feel free to post people that have brought these topics up as well.

  • Topics discussed are “transhumanism, AI, and the potential dangers of unchecked billionaire influence.”

A generated summary is included so people understand the basics of what the video is about.

I am not sure how to make it easier for people to understand, sorry.

The people Glenn discusses are part of the oligarchy of the United States; they have great power and influence.

Meta and Palantir are a big part of the United States and companies that collect private data on the populace.

    Here you go:

Peter Thiel | German-American entrepreneur and venture capitalist (born 1967)

Peter Andreas Thiel is an American entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and political activist. A co-founder of PayPal, Palantir Technologies, and Founders Fund, he was the first outside investor in Facebook. According to Forbes, as of May 2025, Thiel’s estimated net worth stood at US$20.8 billion, making him the 103rd-richest individual in the world. After graduating from Stanford, Thiel began his career as a clerk for Judge James Larry Edmondson, worked as a securities lawyer at Sullivan & Cromwell, a speechwriter for former U.S. secretary of education William Bennett, and a derivatives trader at Credit Suisse. He founded Thiel Capital Management in 1996 and co-founded PayPal with Max Levchin and Luke Nosek in 1998. He was the chief executive officer of PayPal until its sale to eBay in 2002 for $1.5 billion. Following PayPal, Thiel founded Clarium Capital, a global macro hedge fund based in San Francisco.

Mark Zuckerberg | American Internet entrepreneur

Mark Elliot Zuckerberg is an American businessman who co-founded the social media service Facebook and its parent company Meta Platforms, of which he is the chairman, chief executive officer, and controlling shareholder. Zuckerberg has been the subject of multiple lawsuits regarding the creation and ownership of the website as well as issues such as user privacy. Born in White Plains, New York, Zuckerberg briefly attended Harvard College, where he launched Facebook in February 2004 with his roommates Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes. Zuckerberg took the company public in May 2012 with majority shares. He became the world’s youngest self-made billionaire in 2008, at age 23, and has consistently ranked among the world’s wealthiest individuals. According to Forbes, Zuckerberg’s estimated net worth stood at US$221.2 billion as of May 2025, making him the second-richest individual in the world.

  • All is well; no need to force ourselves unless we want to, hahaha.

Camping is cool, but it is a hassle, and you need to prep and plan ahead to have an enjoyable experience if it has been a while since you have gone camping.

Vacations need planning, or it can also be just a last-minute thing, but be prepared to go with the flow of an adventure, hahaha.

  • Generated Summary:

Main Topic: The increasing polarization of Gen Z’s political views, with young men leaning towards the populist right and young women towards the populist left, and the underlying reasons for this trend.

    Key Points:

    • Political Polarization: Young men are increasingly voting for far-right populist parties (e.g., AfD in Germany, Trump’s MAGA movement), while young women are turning to the far-left.
    • Defining Populism: Populism is defined by a focus on the struggle between “the people” and “the elite establishment.” Far-left parties advocate for radical redistribution and rejection of the capitalist system, while far-right parties are nativist and believe in strict social order.
    • Problems with Populism: Populist governments, both left and right, tend to challenge democratic institutions, erode checks and balances, and often negatively impact the economy.
    • Reasons for Populism:
      • Economic Insecurity: Populism thrives in regions with high inequality and economic hardship. The current cost of living crisis and high housing prices contribute to this.
      • Cultural Factors (for Far-Right Populism): Far-right populism gains traction among demographics that have experienced a decline in social status.
      • Male Backlash: A backlash against perceived extreme feminism, increasing loneliness among young men, and young men falling behind women in education are potential factors driving young men to the right.
      • Social Media: Polarizing messages on social media amplify populist sentiments.
    • Potential Solutions: Centrist politicians need to address economic insecurity by building more houses to lower prices and redesigning the energy and food markets to reduce the cost of living.

    Highlights:

    • The video emphasizes the scientific definitions of populism, far-left, and far-right, moving beyond typical political rhetoric.
    • It highlights the historical data showing the negative impacts of populist governments on democratic institutions and economic growth.
    • The video explores the potential reasons behind the shift in Gen Z’s political views, including economic insecurity and cultural factors.
    • The role of social media in amplifying polarizing messages is discussed.
    • The video concludes with potential solutions for centrist politicians to address the root causes of populism.

  • [Hook]

    1. Lock and load your gun where I’m from, the Third World, son
    2. Been to many places, but I’m Third World born
    3. Guerrillas hit and run where I’m from, the Third World, son
    4. You polluted everything and now the Third World’s gone
    5. The water is poison where I’m from, the Third World, son
    6. 700 children died by the end of this song
    7. Revolution’ll come where I’m from, the Third World, son
    8. Constant occupation leaves the Third World torn

Immortal Technique is Peruvian. He is talking about Africa and Peru in this song

Tech’s “I’m from where … ” concept is modeled off of Jay-Z’s song “Where I’m From”. Tech removes any reasonable doubt that this is just a coincidence with at least two additional Jay-Z references.[1]

  • Generated Summary:

Main Topic: Analysis of the escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, the potential for a larger conflict, and the historical context of Iranian society and US involvement in the Middle East.

    Key Points:

    • Escalation of Conflict: Israel and Iran have exchanged strikes, with the US intervening and launching attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities.
    • US Military Presence: The US maintains numerous military bases in the Middle East, a point of contention historically, though now often seen as a security guarantee by Gulf states.
    • Israel’s Strategy: Israel’s tactical successes are contrasted with a lack of clear strategic goals, particularly regarding Iran’s nuclear capabilities and the “axis of resistance.”
    • Iran’s Nuclear Ambitions: While Iran’s nuclear program is a major concern, experts disagree on how close Iran is to developing a nuclear weapon. A nuclear weapon is seen as a deterrent.
    • Historical Context: The video delves into the history of Iran, including its shift from Persia, its relationship with Nazi Germany, and the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
    • US Justification for Military Action: The US has historically used the threat of nuclear weapons as a justification for military interventions in the Middle East, sometimes based on false pretenses (e.g., Iraq War).
    • Potential for Miscalculation: There’s a risk that leaders like Netanyahu could manipulate US presidents (like Trump) into taking actions that serve Israel’s interests but may not be in the best interest of the US.
    • Status Quo vs. Revisionist Powers: The US and its allies are seen as status quo powers in the Middle East, while Iran, Russia, and China are revisionist powers seeking to challenge the existing order.
    • Oil Interests: While not essential for the US, Middle Eastern oil is crucial for US allies and the stability of the global economy.

    Highlights:

    • Discussion of the potential for a nuclear conflict and whether Iran is a rational actor.
    • Analysis of the media’s biased coverage of the conflict, emphasizing the importance of independent reporting.
    • Interview with Dr. James Gelvin, providing expert analysis and historical context.
    • Discussion of the cancellation of the Tel Aviv Pride Parade due to the conflict.
    • Positive news stories about a young boy saving his family from a house fire and Ireland shutting down its last coal-burning plant.

  • Just out of curiosity, what’s the preferred place to link to with songs on here?

YT links, but post what you prefer!

The Fumes were playing their first gig in years earlier in the year, but it was in Northern NSW at a local pub and about 250km each way for me. I regret not going to the gig, but I don’t regret not driving that far for it.

Wow. You might have to plan it as a mini-vacation trip so as to enjoy the event if the occasion arises or until they have a gig closer to your area.

Some bands are very limited in their tours, so if possible, we have to go to their closest gig.
