ohhh thanks - it doesnt seem like that setting saves on refresh of the page though :(

Looks great! Wonder is there a way to reduce the size of the sidebar? It takes up a huge amount of the space on web (while still keeping the names visible, the minimized view with icons isn’t super helpful)

The usbc-c cable I use does both charging and HDMI over the single USB c cable, so I don’t need to use a separate port for charging!

isdfoa@lemmy.worldto Android@lemdro.id•Visit our fresh communities on Lemdro.id! Please check sidebar before posting!English44·2 years agoImo I feel like given the size of the community there is too much segregation. All these android related topics should all just be in /c/android until we reach a critical mass that more organization is required. No one will bother to subscribe to all of those with 0 engagement… And plz don’t delete posts we are so small here! As long as it isn’t spam I’m ok with questions etc. here. The rules shouldn’t be the same as reddit as the community isn’t the same (at least not yet).

isdfoa@lemmy.worldto Android@lemmy.world•Opinion - What are your thoughts on password managers? Do you use one? Would you recommend it to others?English4·2 years agoGood to know, thanks! I wasn’t aware passwords on chrome are not encrypted.
I’ll have to take a look into cost of 1password and Bitwarden, and see if any of them have password import features from Chrome to make the switch easy
isdfoa@lemmy.worldto Android@lemmy.world•Opinion - What are your thoughts on password managers? Do you use one? Would you recommend it to others?English71·2 years agoI use Chrome password manager. Is there any difference to this vs. Bitwarden or other services? Chrome is super convenient since it suggests passwords in browser while signing up and auto-inputs them to apps/websites cross platform. And also integrates with GBoard to quickly search password to copy into a field.
Not sure if Bitwarden has any additional features other than the benefit of not keeping all my info with Google. Or if it’s less convenient and I have to go into the Bitwarden app or something everytime to look up or generate passwords?

isdfoa@lemmy.worldto Lemmy@lemmy.ml•I think [@lemmy](https://lemmy.ml/c/lemmy) [@lemmyworld](https://lemmy.world/c/lemmyworld) might not get the support Mastodon got because Twitter is more seriously used by some people and needed an ur3·2 years agoWell duplicate communities can thrive both on reddit and Lemmy. You can imagine a community with several thousand users on Lemmy would still be relatively active enough to have quality content and discussions. In fact I’ve noticed this myself and it’s only getting better over the past few weeks.
Rather than all of nothing approach, just think of it as both can co-exist for now. Eventually let’s hope reddit will die its slow death it won’t be anything like the death spiral of Twitter.
Hm, maybe I should do the same (and if it’s helpful to spread the load across instances anyway?). I try to comment and never able to (always a network error or some other error on both jerboa and wefwef). Let’s see if this comment even posts lol
Yeah I’ve been kind of browsing both reddit and Lemmy for awhile, but over time in getting super tired of the constant boring/obvious AITAH and just teenage relationship advice spam that floods the frontpage. Definitely has made me open reddit less, and really just for specific communities I can’t find elsewhere.
