What is even worse it’s that they are less practical than minivan. Most pickups in the States are short bed so you can fit standard lumber or plywood sheets without dropping the tailgate and strapping it in.

With removable seats I can get full sheets in my minivan along with to 12ft lumber. No risk of it getting wet or falling off the back and I get to enjoy comfort good mileage and AC the whole way home.

We have a program called the resource center that provides additional needs for homeless such as sanitary pads toothbrushes toothpaste hair care products soap and sunscreen. Maybe you can partner with a local program like ours and deliver those packages along with water.

Good reason to be suspect but I don’t know if it’s enough to claim they are enriching to that level.

Find places with good kid friendly areas. Lots of zoos and children’s museums have toddler friendly play areas. I loved have a stroller and big diaper bag it let me carry extra of everything and a kid could nap while the other played which extended our time out.

Lots of cities and towns in the southern US have drop off daycare where you can leave a kid or two for a few hours while parents get a meal or some time together. Many hotels also have a list of babysitters plus there are online sites that pre screen sitters.
