voyager on recent phone, boost on ancient phone
similar stuff, impossible to reliably search and so many things gone after a while. i’m even thinking of setting up a personal instance and having it ignore post removal requests…
maybe the distro you use? so that you could directly offer help.
if not, maybe just plain old debian?

i believe they sorted by popularity so that the AI generated bullshits are mostly not included?

so you’re saying degrading quality while getting filthy rich by stealing everyone else’s work is better than archival efforts? not sure what your point is.

No! It was Clippit! /s

Wasn’t their whole marketing point that they’ll have nothing meaningful to give out since everything’s properly E2E encrypted? Not sure how much the compliance rate matters when the provided data is useless. (They would need to comply in order to remain legally operating…)

I seem to remember hearing NetGuard doesn’t work properly for some configuration and that it doesn’t support IPv6 properly (?) Or maybe it was something VPN/Wireguard related… My memory is a bit vague
AFAIK TrackerControl was also based on NetGuard.

Does DDG provide protection system wide? If it’s only the browser I believe Firefox with uBO or Cromite would be better?

I usually use AdAway for this. When installing a new app, use PCAPdroid and AdAway’s logger to find tracker servers apps connect to that isn’t blocked by AdAway’s default lists and block them manually. (And don’t enable internet connection at all unless it’s really necessary, using AFWall)
Debloating apps using LuckyPatcher before all this is also useful, like there’s no reason to have bytedance sdk running. Though it’s arguable that LuckyPatcher itself isn’t really trustworthy, so I usually have it disabled (by Android; using adb or using something like the ‘Blocker’ app) and enable it only when I need it.

maybe use a public wifi if you have one available nearby? or a residential proxy, tho it’a bit unethical and has the possibility of being banned.

it seems like rethinkdns is the best non-root firewall now. adaway+afwall if rooted.
some also uses illumos :)
I need keyboard shortcuts that actually work, and I hate large padding/whitespaces/circled borders that do nothing… I like having grey-ish background instead of white. Seems like many people consider this “old fashioned” and hate it.
For desktop things should just fit well enough on 1280x1024. For mobile 720x1280 or some similar resolution.

thanks. i believe they can be used with ublacklist too, so i mentioned that just in case

I use the two with uBlock Origin instead (so I can choose to go there still), and there were some sites that does have proper information blocked there.
reddit went to shit, bots everywhere

damn, annas is fucking based. hope they stay safe…
which linux distro do you use?
