Tangentially related, but shoutout to that one prolific trans r/MLS poster around 10-12 years ago whose name I unfortunately no longer remember, but whose comments openly identifying as communist played a huge role in sparking my curiosity and dragging me leftward.
(Poked my head into r/soccer earlier today and unsurprisingly, it’s mindnumbingly lib there these days, though there is still some anti-imperialist pushback scattered here and there. I remember that sub used to have a surprising amount of overlap with r/CTH)
