La differenza sostanziale per me è la possibilità di conversazione pubblica, perché quando rispondo a una storia rimane 1 a 1, mentre se rispondo a un thread tutti vedono

Feed cronologico lo accetto come opzione ma francamente lo trovo una feature sopravvalutata
O magari non è compatibile con il modo con cui uso io i social seguendo tanta gente

Io sto faticando molto a vedere roba di italiani mentre leggo di altri che hanno il feed pieno
Però sicuramente è un problema mio che seguo gente anglofona e quindi mi propongono quelli

Per me potrà sostituire Twitter se ci arrivano giornalisti e accademici che seguo e alcune feature utili per quello (segnalibri categorizzati ecc)

Solo che meta sembra non voler puntare su news e politica, che è quello per cui uso Twitter :/

Sulla questione divulgazione ci può stare anche se non penso possa sostituire Instagram per quello

I’m catholic, and to me it’s because behaving in a good way will simply make you live better;
the idea is that sin is something that turns you away from God, but being close to God is what makes you truly happy

So even in this life, behaving in a good way would make you live better and happier

Sure, now that I can’t have a good app I don’t care about reddit either, but if the content is on there people will still find value in it

• sure, not everyone would probably put the rainbow flag on the icon of their app. This is true for every choice. Not everyone would pick the font the mlem developers chose, or the color palette of the app, etc. but people can make the choices they want for their app, no?

• nobody is “cancelling” anyone though? People are just telling you what they think? Which mat be different from what you think. Who is getting “canceled” and how?

What do you mean “the main topic”? The thread is about you asking why the mlem icon has a rainbow flag, and people are answering you about this; this is not thread about “gay community intolerance”, I don’t think it’s the appropriate place for this since this is a community about a phone app for Lemmy

And you don’t need to be gay to display a rainbow flag, nor does a rainbow flag mean that you’re gay

Not everything needs to be done “for the app to try”; some stuff can also be just the expression of support for something
