1·3 years agoI switched to OPNsense long ago when they got slandered by pfSense. The webpage still exists on archive.org. Nasty stuff.
I won’t look back. I feel like pfSense hadn’t been updated in forever… I get frequent updates on my OPNsense machines.
I selfhost a lot of the normal stuff everyone else does. Plex, AdguardHome, etc…
I also have a 96+ port dial-up server system: https://2600.network
14.4k. Then 28.8k. Then 56k. Then T1 from my local computer group, and finally cable… fiber is coming this year.
I’m going to serve 2600.network over fiber. Somehow I wound up at the beginning.
