I already use uBlock Origin. I haven’t had any issues with it. I was replying to the person who said NoScript was better.

It’s easy enough. You’ll need to grab an apk for YouTube so ReVanced Manager can modify and install it. That’s about it.
It’s too much of a pain to use for me personally. I really don’t want to spend time figuring out which scripts to enable every time I visit a new site. Adblock I can just turn on and forget with minimum effort.
Which one do you use? I’ve never heard of them until reading this post but you’ve got me interested.
I mainly program in Visual Studio so I use it’s integration for simple commits, diffs, and checkouts. Anything more complicated than that I head for the command line.
So it’s proprietary then. OP didn’t ask for FOSS, he asked for open source. There’s an MIT license directly in the Github for the project I linked.
The IDE and build engines may be proprietary. That doesn’t make the code base of this project or anything using Unity proprietary by default.
This is just going to serve to put people that were on the fence off of Lemmy and they’ll go back to reddit.
And every single reply to that post is telling them go back to private indefinitely. Love to see it.
Since you mentioned OpenMW I thought I should mention Daggerfall Unity. It’s an rewrite of Daggerfall using the Unity engine, also requiring the original files. The best thing about is that the developers have made it easily moddable and a very healthy modding community has sprung up for it, some of which really make the game feel like what the original developers were going for but had to deal with the technical limitations of the time.
Satisfied Jellyfin user here. I had a Plex server for years but they kept pushing all kinds of new features I didn’t want that just made everything feel slower.
Is there any reason to ever do a system update now that the shop is closed, or can I just happily go on ignoring that and install homebrew and cias to my hearts content?
As in if you get the update you can’t apply the hacks? Am I good if I have an old hacked one or do I need to watch our for Nintendo doing some sneaky update that’ll brick it? I hacked mine like 4 years ago but I haven’t touched it a while so not sure if I need to do anything else.
If I’m spending less time staring at my phone and more time picking up a book or something, all the better for me. I’ve found myself engaging more and doomscrolling less though, so the time feels more well spent even though I’m spending less time then I would have on reddit.
Wow that’s a great list, thanks! I’m seeing a lot in here I’ve never tried.
I’ve got a soft modded 3DS I haven’t touched it in a while, but I’d love to find some new title to get back into it. What are some of your favorite games?
I don’t care if all the subreddits come back. I’ve already deleted my account and will not be going back.
Stash it all somewhere or migrate it here if possible, then torch the place. Users will follow the content, if the /r/piracy userbase all move somewhere else, then that platform will grow and we won’t have to put up with reddit anymore.
Reddit’s main strength lies in it’s userbase. If everyone migrates to other platforms, then Reddit will no longer be worth visiting. I wish more big subs would go down indefinitely, a two day blackout will accomplish nothing if everyone just goes back to reddit.
I was replying to the comment saying that NoScript was better…I already use uBlock.
