I’m being told Winnie the Pooh references are racist? Is there confusion that the identification is the yellow skin rather than the facial expression? I’m almost certain that meme is talking about how his face looks like Winnie the Pooh, right?

I don’t struggle too hard to empathize with Nazis that have to rent off Liberal spaces.
I’m gonna stick around for a bit longer and try to clean this shit up. But it’s never occurred to me to ask who’d want me if I wasn’t staying.
How fucking hard would it be to spin up a Lemmy instance, you know? Conservatives too fucking stupid to buy hosting and run an install package lol
It hadn’t really occurred to me to seriously ask where an American could leave to and become a citizen. I’ve got a degree in Information Systems and I work I.T., which I would think would be relatively valuable somewhere.
That’s actually a fair point. I’ve seen it in the UI but I’m not sure exactly how it works, but it seems like there’s communities to moderate and curate and you can simply enable them to moderate your feed, if I’m understanding it right. If so, it sounds like a really good way to compartmentalize that stuff to allow users to sort it themselves.
“Why can’t the algo find me better content?”
Motherfucker, it’s social media. You have to get social with people. Make a fucking friend, right?
Like, I fixed that shit by following George Takei and Mark Hamill and some reporters. The algo shouldn’t be finding things for you. You should be finding people.
Yeah, scratching my head just the same. My only problem with Mastodon is the same I had with StumbleUpon. It’s way too good about putting neat people and conversations in front of me and I feel bad not rising to the occasion more when I just want to deadbrain.
It just feels more like Classic Twitter, and I can imagine some users like that vibe, despite Mastodon perhaps having the better technicals to keep social media federated. I use both and they have their audience. There are services that allow crossposting too, so I’ve got a BlueSky instance out there copying my Mastodon into that feed. Just to reach out.
I’m not sure what the practicals of doing something like this will be, but it speaks a lot to who Eugen Rochko is.
He might also be an obtuse dick. I’ve gotten that vibe too. Still, good for him.
The interest your domestic and foreign corporate social media platforms have in you are VASTLY different. It’s naive to equivocate them. Yes, TikTok should get “banned”, which will just be pulling the app from the app store and likely still available as a web app maybe through a VPN. They’re just going to create more friction in getting access.
Instead of advocating for spyware, perhaps we should be highlighting open alternatives?
Since when is Hunter not S-tier? No upsetti, but I usually run Hunter because unlimited enchantable arrows feels big OP, and it’s never been hard to get a good set, let alone potential for more seeds and for boosted effects.
Rocking SteamOS myself. 😜
Here to represent the Arch Linux master race!
lolsteamos
Unfortunately, I’m keeping mine to make a pipeline from there to actual content on Mastodon or BlueSky. But I basically put a URL in my bio and push a photo once a week.
Ultimately, I think we’d both agree a cabin out in the woods, maybe with solar panels, would be the best form of government, wouldn’t you say? 😀
They were talking about SteamOS 2.0 being Debian and made for general hardware and SteamOS 3.0 being Arch based and really only meant for the Steam Deck, though it’s unclear if there’s drivers enough to put it on other hardware, but we’re looking at Powered By SteamOS devices coming out. So, am I to take it that SteamOS 3.0 is implied to be capable of installing on alternate hardware now?
Like, I’m just going to stick with my Steam Deck but it’s interesting to think you can make Steam Machines again.
HA. Same. Isn’t it funny to be warned by the prior generation about “big government” only to have them purposefully fuck it up to prove the point?
I’m reasonably fine with my governor, comparatively.
I think that’s the window environment on SteamOS. I honestly really enjoy it on my Deck. It feels light and fresh.
