The other day I had to build a prototype using some development boards and decided to leave everything to claude. I gave it the datasets and told it what I needed to do and it created completely incorrect schematics, like hallucinating a LED on the board, adding a serial interface to some pins that are not related, confusing tx and rx on another set of pins, saying that it needed 12V when it is 3-5V, it even added some capacitors to some pins that weren’t even in use. I had to go thru maybe 10 iterations and burned a bunch of tokens, basically I had to do it manually

The only thing it surprises me every time is the code, that usually runs with no errors on the first try. It’s just not very clean but it is ok for my needs

Similar. I am/was the go to for my family regarding technology. Last year my uncle asked me about laptops for her daughter that was about to enter college and I had no idea. I have been using an inexpensive core i3 for the past 7 years with linux for my personal laptop and my work changes me my laptop wave 2 or 3 years but it is so bloated that it never feels fast and I no longer have any idea about the trends or requirements nowadays

I got the exact one and I returned it because it was very inconsistent. I got a generic one from Amazon with steel burrs and many adjustments steps and it is so much better for my needs (mostly aeropress)

Similar timing, a friend introduced me to Ubuntu around 2005 or 2006 and dualbooted for a while and always had a live USB with me. Tried many distros, I think openSuse was my favorite for a while and then switched to OSX86 until I got a laptop at my job (with windows) and I got a tablet so I stopped having a personal computer until about 5 years ago when I got a very cheap laptop that turned to crap when it “upgraded” to Windows 11 and that’s when I discovered linux

My biggest issue with self learning is that I used chmod 777 to try to fix everything since most of the time it “worked”

Last time I tried going with ugly labels at total wine I went 0/3. Boring labels are usually OK but I usually scan them with vivino.

Cool labels are usually meh but I found a few that are pretty good and not so expensive
