I have a good friend who’s been going through this stuff. He’s an adult, and he is married, but he still needs support, because he’s not really fully able to function without some support.

The number of infantilizing remarks that he receives on a weekly basis is honestly shocking, and across the board they all come from people whose job it is to help him.

If your views are not compatible with the moderator or community’s views and they keep getting removed, you are free to go and find a different instance.

Nobody’s getting paid to work here, so the only people that do the work are the people who volunteer their time, and chances are if they’re constantly exposed to the same stupid shit over and over again, they’re gonna get grouchy, they’re gonna get grumpy, and they’re gonna just start blanket banning anything that even slightly aggravates them.

You can say it’s power-tripping, and you can protest it when it’s unequally applied to you. That’s fair, But you just have to live with it because this is not a business, this is not a customer service oriented situation, this is a “make the community as comfortable as possible for as many people as possible while maintaining your sanity” position for the mods.

I am not a moderator. I would not do moderation tasks because I see how stressful it is. I am also not apologizing on their behalf or trying to sugarcoat the situation.

It sucks for you, getting your posts removed. It sucks for a lot of people not getting to interact with those posts, but it’s a take what you can get sort of thing.

The good thing is, if you absolutely do not want your post to be removed, you are perfectly welcome to spin up your own lemmy instance and federate it and then share your post with the entire fediverse without any sort of moderation whatsoever.

Even with that though, the other instances of the Fediverse can defederate with you if they find your whole thing to just cause more headache and hassle than it’s worth to them.

After the federal government disbands their own internal systems the private sector can ramp up the prices just like they do with every other consumer.

From what I remember, an atom was supposed to be the smallest possible indivisible unit of matter, Which being as that now we know that atoms are made of quarks shows that atoms have been improperly named.

Quarks seem to also be comprised of something else, possibly strings, possibly some sort of quantum something or another, so it’s entirely possible that we haven’t actually found the atom yet.

My real intent is to aim for the seventh gen intel processor or higher, as the intel quicksync encoders are better on the seventh generation than they are in the sixth gen.

That can help with encryption of files and decoding encrypted files for something like an opnsense box or wireguard.

And who knows, they might want to play around with some local AI stuff or jellyfin in the future.

I would recommend going for at least an Intel 7th gen or failing that some sort of computer that has an Nvidia GPU, 1050ti or better.

Those will help as you go further down the line with allowing some CUDA and Intel acceleration features and only adds a couple of dollars to the total cost of the system.

Then associate your marginalized community with the community that you destroyed. Start screaming from every media outlet that trans people are pedophiles. That they will invade bathrooms to rape children.

Then branch out to your next target. Go after the gays. Keep ramping up the intensity.

Go after people who have had an abortion or who provide abortions.

Go after people who have married other races.

Make all of these actions a crime so that you can arrest and disenfranchise the people using the legal platforms of the country.

Good, upstanding people don’t want to be criminals, so they will do their best to not participate in the actions that you have disenfranchised.

As long as civil war does not break out and cause your regime to be overthrown, you are guaranteed success.

If a civil war does break out, all you have to do is use the overwhelming power of your military to defeat them, and then claim every single person that rebelled against your tyranny were actually the tyrannists.

Use previous instances of civil war as evidence that you were in the right and they are in the wrong just like it was 150 years ago.

Ignore the fact that the first civil war was about ending slavery even though the second civil war will be about reinstituting slavery.

The best part is, is that by and large, the people who are close to your ideal group of people will support you all the way up until you turn the thumbscrews on them.

When my dad was teaching me how to ride a bike, I kept falling.

He noticed that I was paying so much attention to the road that I couldn’t focus on riding the bike.

Finally he picked me up, looked me dead in the eyes and said, “You rule the road. Don’t let the road rule you”.

Somehow that phrase immediately gave me the ability to ride a bicycle.

I have shared it with other people learning to ride a bicycle after they have fallen down at least once.

It freaking works.

That’s literally the remedy that they have. Issue an arrest warrant for the officer that violated and contravened the court’s orders and keep them in custody until the person they falsely arrested is returned home.

Everybody else that assisted that officer with committing the crime should also be arrested and held until the person is returned home.

You only have to do that one time for all of the other officers to know that they will get their shit kicked in if they continue to contravene the court’s orders.

My only concern is will they find somebody worse?

I’m not really a member of this space, and I just found this question by browsing all, but I would say that the only bit of technically bisexual media that I have been exposed to in video games that I can think of is Final Fantasy VII, where you have the option of taking a large gun-toting black man on a date in a Disneyland-type area, and you end up cross-dressing to save your female friends and almost end up being sexually assaulted by a mafia Don who you then later kill.

I’m only talking about the original version on the PlayStation 1. I don’t know if these themes will be revisited in the updates.

That is highly location specific, and even then it’s gonna be a tough row to hoe unless you happen to possess a burner gun and can sprinkle a little crack on his corpse.

And also, I feel like there should be a governmental body that HOAs are responsible to that can handle mediation and give you a higher authority to appeal to.

I’ve heard horror stories of HLA presidents coming into people’s houses to make sure that they’ve emptied their trash appropriately and other weird stuff like that should have a method of redress that does not necessarily involve a protracted legal battle.

Some sort of HOA governance that is nationwide with state and county chapters would massively lower my resistance to HOA’s and give them a little bit more legitimacy in my opinion.

They should have to clearly establish their bylaws and submit them to the governance body and have them approved, and then they should only be allowed to exercise the bylaws that have been agreed upon by the community.

No more weird old people sitting out in your front yard, measuring your grass with a ruler and stuff like that.
