  • It’s a long and detailed article, and it gets to the current trend of indie cartoons being made outside of corporate machinery and being released for free on YouTube, like ViziePop and Glitch Studios productions.

There’s a direct throughline in content and style between the queer cartoons made within said corporate machinery and the new ones being made outside of it (and in Dana Terrace’s case, a direct throughline in creator identity, from The Owl House to Knights of Guinevere). It’s all important context to see how corporations acted when funding queer media was seen as profitable, and how artists are dealing with the funding shortfall now that it isn’t.

  • They are indeed from the new Pokemon game, the girl on the right is Taunie, the main rival if you pick the “male” player character, who is the girl on the left. The game doesn’t lock fashion options to player gender choice for the first time in Pokemon (technically neither did Scarlet/Violet but all that game had was school uniforms and accessories) letting you choose to dress fully fem regardless of which protagonist you pick, which is why these characters were picked for this comic!

  • That’s a pretty reductive take, the Rook 2020 is very similar in print capabilities to a v0.2 with the same build volume, similar print speeds and quality, but is intended to be an open-frame PLA printer while the v0.2 is intended to be an enclosed ABS printer. Which is better really comes down to what you want to print with it. My self-sourced Rook 2020 Mk1 has been a reliable workhorse for PLA, PETG and TPU for over 2 years now with minimal maintenance.
