Brian Wilks, but more because of implementation than his character alone. Troubles in Greyditch/finding him a home feels like an early midgame quest that gets forced upon you almost right out the vault. With all the scattered locations, the perk/skill checks in his dialog you likely haven’t had time to invest in, and the ants can easily be a problem for low level characters. The fact that he spawns in one of the areas you’re very likely to go to right away (Either for Moria or the subway entrance) feels scummy when you probably have to put the quests on hold for a little bit if you want to get the most out of it. Your character doesn’t know places like Rivet City or Paradise Falls exists yet, he ends up being stuck in Greyditch for a while anyway. All the while you have to hear about how you’re neglecting him on the radio. He’s super annoying through no direct fault of his character (unless you find the child NPCs annoying by default, then the annoyances stack)

Varlus@lemmy.worldto Fallout@lemmy.world•Everyone's Preferred Route to the Strip?English2·2 years agoI buy as much dynamite as I can from Chet and then climb up the hillside by the cazador road. You can perch yourself safely above the cazadors in the abandoned campsite and blow them to bits/shoot them without fear. Then I grab my free fireaxe/chance’s knife and run towards Red Rock and through the fiends collecting heads on my way. It’s relatively safe and great for exp farming with the big horners, geckos, and fiends (and Bonnie Springs if you’re feeling spicy).

I'm somewhere between the Tech Conservative and Newborn Paranoid.6·2 years agoI’m ashamed to say I brushed shoulders newborn paranoid before realizing I’m too much of a dumbass and then toned it back to Tech Conservative. Though I randomly use Tor for absolutely no reason other than just being a masochist I guess
Independence and self respect is sexy, and doing chores is a form of independence (you know how take of yourself) and is a form of self respect (you don’t let yourself live in filth). It also implies that you don’t view your gf as the designated house maid and not being humiliated/burdened like that is a big relief, especially for women who grew up around sexism. Who might have internalized the idea that men doing chores is on par with something like gift giving or going on dates, something special done out of love, and not just something that needs to be done. She could genuinely find you doing chores sexy, but also having to do less chores is a bonus no matter who you are, it can be both.
