It’s definitely plausible. I’m not sure exactly what sort of system they use in Russia, but I’d guess truckers the world over are frequently sent to new places with vague instructions to follow once you’re there.

Why would there need to be a GM on for an ongoing MO that’s just going to hang narratively afterwards? They wave narrative wands all week but can’t put their finger on the scale enough to see that their biggest event lasts into what’s the first weekend of summer for one of their core demographics? Just time it so it’s ending as you’re coming into the office on Monday if that’s the concern.
