Hey, so, I don’t consider myself a commie per se (in part because I haven’t done the required reading and thus can’t converse intelligently about communism with any degree of true nuance) but I’m probably what would be considered very far left by USA standards, while still being, shall we say skeptical of shit like Drag Queen Story Hour.

I started this community because like you, Stupidpol was the biggest thing I missed about reddit. I’m assuming if this community gains any steam and people who actually started the sub start migrating, I’ll be able to figure out how to hand it over to some of the existing mods.

It’s probably also worth pointing out that the original subreddit is mainly intended for Marxists, but people of all persuasions are allowed to discuss as long as they aren’t too disruptive.

That could probably fit within the orbit. I updated the sidebar with a more or less direct copy of the one at r/stupidpol so it’s a bit easier to gauge for people wandering in.

I’m not a mod on that sub, just trying to set up a Lemmy instance of the community on a server where it won’t get immediately banned for questioning dominant paradiggums in a non-malicious way.
