Een mens alleen is in de natuur min of meer ten dode opgeschreven. Om nog maar te zwijgen over de behoefte aan contact. Niet voor niets wordt eenzame opsluiting als marteling beschouwd.

Wat wel aan de hand is is dat de sociale constructies in de afgelopen eeuwen een stuk complexer zijn geworden.
