I see, so because of this asymmetry in treatment by society, there’s an assymetry of suppport in these particular online spaces. Makes sense. I appreciate your input, thanks.

Interesting. Yeah that makes sense considering the “masculine” bullshit associated with the tech space. Thanks for your reply.
What you’re suggesting seems to align with what other people are saying too. Thank you, I appreciate it.
I see. That makes sense, thanks for taking the time, regardless of salt.
It seems like Lemmy is all about trans women, I’m genuinely curious though why we don’t have more trans men content. I’d say it’s maybe on the order of 10:1 posts celebrating trans fem vs trans masc (obviously not a scientific calculation).
I don’t have a lot of background in a lot of trans spaces so this is coming from a place of ignorance, but do people in the community have any insight as to why it seems to be this way?
Take this one for instance, it specifically says trans women. Why wouldn’t this just say trans people, comrades or something like that? Is there a large descrepancy between numbers of trans fem/masc or something?
Edit. I appreciate what people have said below. Together these responses give a textured albeit 10,000 foot answer to my question, which was what I was looking for. Thanks ya’ll.
Some real Hyperion Shit going on here. Anyone from the web should prolly move on…😳

No, but everyone who has been responding have been really positive. Maybe I’ll take a swing at it
Thanks for explaining it. You and the other comment bpiqued my interest. Grateful.
Interesting. I wouldn’t have pictured platformers as having this much exploration. Thanks for taking the time. I’ll have to check it out.
Can anyone explain to someone who doesn’t get it? How can a platformer be this great? I’m obviously not a player who gravitates to platformers, but I’m just curious about all this attention.

31·7 months agoI don’t think that someone is talking about using BTC or ETH. They’re literally unusable to make purchases (multiple minute settling times and the high costs you mentioned) but any other functional L1 would work. Algorand for examply has ~3second block times with instant finality and costs a fraction of a fraction of a cent to use the network. Those fees couple be subsidised they’re so low. They’re significantly lower than a rail like Visa or MasterCard. But you’re right, implementing it so anyone can easily use and access it is key.
Edited bad autocorrect
Why men can’t be taken seriously you mean? I don’t know who this Carla Homolka person is, but if you had a post comparing every woman to their actions on the basis of their sex I’m pretty sure you would get women defending themselves in exactly the same way (assuming this person did something terrible from context).
I’m not sure how you don’t see that using “you people” in this way is acceptable in generalizing any other group. There’s definitely a pass, socially, when aiming those words at men. Ask yourself why that is.

Yeah, it may be the tech demo that Lemmy serves that skews content the way it does in other places (like bluesky). Another commenter was gesturing in that direction and it makes sense to me. Thanks for taking the time.
