I have seen better long term seeding on some rare stuff on public trackers than private trackers.
I do agree on the sentiment that the actual piracy community is turned into some cash grab milking thing to the limit where if you don’t buy a seedbox you will not have a great time competing angainst other seeders on some private trackers !
The best thing that could happen is that everything gets shifted to i2p or similar tech, away from private trackers and the government !
I’m not sure what’s happening, I tried to read through everything (even signed the petition) but the original project has also moved to forgejo… Always when It gets licence related it seems they are all talking something I can’t make any sense out of it… It’s really frustrating !!
But yeah that’s a good point and hope more projects will follow (piHole, navidrome, jellyfin, […]) to get out of Soft’s GitHub claws !!

You may also want to check your environment, as there can be inaccuracy due to clouds, buildings, sunspots, alien invasion, etc.
They even have a full tutorial on it here.
However, if you’re going the self-signed certificate route, consider to make your own mini-CA with root-CA + intermediate CA added in your trust store on every device and all your services behind a reverse proxy. The only thing you need to worry about is the certificates’ validity !
It does “support” LVM, but with a wacky/hacky workaround and that’s a real shame !
Also, there is some talking on github on how they will probably completely drop LVM in the near futur… That’s not what someone should expect from a Linux installer!

Also old users don’t remember long commands if we use a command more than once. You save it to your bash alias file to create your own commands.
A good example for this is docker compose -f when you work alot if compose files ! Having an alias for docker compose -f as dcf saves hours a month xD
Kitty is also a good example ! Very customizable but maybe less user friendly to begin with.

cd to each directory in a separated shell for each directory (keeps the mount points busy)Only then you are able to install your OS with calamares on a LVM filesystem hierarchy…Except this is a 5 years long issue/bug and they are discussing to drop LVM support :/.

Because the group (collectively) have a history of being systematically killed and lynched for their sexuality, not to mention the rest of the suppression and oppression. So politics and attacks are taken seriously.
I get that… And that’s a very serious issue and concern for whatever group you’re defending ! But com’on we are on lemmy here, not on some obscure, harsh dictatorship killing people. You still use lemmy’s backend and have a safe frontend space to stay. That’s kinda hypocrite to use a service that is “anti-lgtb” and still make a fuss about it. If lemmy really was about racial or sexual discrimination you would already know it.
It also reminds me all the fuss about THEIR safe game space only THEM are allowed to use… Uuhhhg it’s kinda getting out of hand !
What ever, my point is, if you want to keep Lemmy alive, help out and donate to the creators. If you’re a just a dumb leech, use a service that somehow “discriminates” you, don’t donate, but PLEASE ! Leave.

In a world where piracy and the bittorrent network is getting heavily struck by DMCA and angry shareholders, I2P is probably the futur…
The faster we move on, the better we will get everything over to a more privacy respecting network…
Yes, right now I2P has flaws and is not 100% ready to welcome the whole bittorrent scene, but we will get there and I hope we will see each other there keeping this sharing scene alive and healthy !
There is… But it’s miles away from beeing a private clear net tracker though. That’s why I have high hopes people would switch to I2P and the likes :/ but that doesn’t going to happen any time soon… They all feel too comfortable in their paywalled wallet garden.
