I was answering the question about people in diaspora not talking about this person in particular. However I could imagine that u can feel happy if your country gets bombed if u are really desperate and are full of anger and guilt.

They have family there and are deeply connected to them. It’s something western people often don’t understand because most were brought up as individuals and not as a part of a proud community. They feel the same anger and even more the guilt because they are not there to suffer with them.

If the neighbors are preparing to kill me next week, maybe this is a possibility if i can’t or don’t want to go anywhere else…
