I am in France and French law stipulates speed limits depending on the type of road when there are no signs. I first discovered BeaconDB thanks to neoStumbler. I used to contribute to MLS, but since they shut down, that’s no longer possible. I did some research before deciding to upload, and frankly, the fact that it uses the same format as MLS (so good integration) + the fact that it’s European convinced me. But above all, it’s because it’s the default system used for geolocation on Linux, and it can be used on Android with MicroG. And finally, it’s a clear open-source project that is progressing rapidly without any grey areas.
