U.S. News@beehaw.org•Centrist think tank suggests banishing these words in order to fight back against MAGAEnglish
2·11 months agoTo add to this there is IMO no such thing as a “true centrist”. All people are going to allign themselves with certain ideals and are not disconnected from the society that they comment on.
The closest thing Ive come across would be a person who ignores all other ideals and simply wants to minimize harm. Even this, taken to an extreme would lead to a totalitarian system so intense that peace would feel like a prison

11·11 months agoStrawman argument: I appreciate you putting centrist in quotes to differ them from the agreed upon definition, But thats just an apologist. Theres no need to redefine centrist, there is a word for fake centrists.

8·11 months agoIt reads like a psyop to maintain the status quo. This would be inflamitory for either side to read. Education and deprogramning religious/capitalistic brainwashing is the only solution.
In my family I generally play the role of mediator to my far right and left family members. The conversations are much more productive when you dont apeal to anyones feelings, deconstruct arguments and give each person time to lay out their perspective regardless of how warped it might be. Also reminding everyone that the person across from you is NOT your enemy. Everyone seems to agree that the animosity they feel for the opposing side is likely manufactured to maintain the status quo at the end of our discussions.
my far right family are usually the ones having trouble with critical thinking, and the leftists are generally insanely insensitive. Its really ironic because I belive they veiw themselves the opposite way. Right wingers are generally more sucessful so they “feel” smarter but dont even know what the dunning kruger effect is. Where as my left wing family fancy themselves to be the most sensitve and claim to care about everyone equally, but will say the most horrid things to them regardless of feelings.
It was not by my hand I was once again given flesh.

6·11 months agoYoull seem smart but youre just going to be a flesh puppet to the AI. and the AI itself will have to be powered from a server so if that goes down your critical thinking, reasoning, and infinite repository of info disapears. Not to mention the repository of info is the internet and we all know how reliable people can be.
“Hey man do you know a good recipe for pizza?”
“Glue cheese, sand in the dough and small rocks to top it all off. Let me know if you have any other questions, Im glad to help!”

2·11 months agoThat’s funny, Its crazy that so many over the top works satire become reality. Your example also reminds me of Idiocracy the Mike Judge movie. Ill have to check that out too, I haven’t even heard of Don’t Look Up till now.

1·11 months agono offense, but was It a puzzle problem or reactions and movement? Ive been known to miss the most obvious puzzle solutions so I might have to cheat a bit as well assuming I get frustrated enough.

3·11 months agoAfter reading everyone’s comments again, I think Im going to drop in your zero rando mod it seems like it has the same vanilla fixes and the type of very light QOL I’m looking for. my apologies for being flippant I was quite tired yesterday.
Thanks for your contributions to this game and then commenting on my thread as with seemingly zero expectations of recognition from me or anyone else. I probably wouldn’t have noticed had Coelacanth@feddit.nu not called you out. kinda badass not gunna lie.

3·11 months agoIronically I’m also a Linux user I will update the post or message you directly(whichever you prefer) If i find any launch options that will optimize the experience. I don’t expect issues since the game has a plat rating on protondb https://www.protondb.com/app/6910
cant help you with the steam controller part since I use mouse and keyboard but usually some dedicated fans create profiles for games+different controllers that you can add through steam.

4·11 months agodang bros got credentials hes the creator of a randomizer mod! very cool! didnt know my post was going to attract the big wigs. definitely will weigh his points heavier. although I definitely got the feeling he was a bit more versed in the game based on the fact that he gave me sources to check and even helped me by posting excerpts to avoid spoilers.

1·11 months agoIs that also true for early game? other players were calling it borderline impossible without proper weapon skills and even then the early game makes it difficultEdit: im dumb. I replied to this thinking it was a stand alone comment in my replies inbox… my bad for the confusion.
I might just get Human rev as well, people seem to generally enjoy it. even if its not as good as the original.

1·11 months agogotcha, I can see why stealth is so heavily promoted as a playstyle then at least for early game.
650 ml? Most bottles are 750, they couldve made the balls a bit larger. It wouldve looked better and held more wine.
