    There’s not much scary in Fluffy LNs, but here’s some ‘Scary’ bits.

    What’s scary? The thought that volume 17 might be the end of the series!

    From my knowledge of LNs… The majority are: Isekais, in less technically advance eras, involve lots of cooking, the MC is OP and there a school somewhere.

    Theory -

    The MC is a deer, he was one of santas reindeer but after being hit by truck-kun he is reincarnated to another world as an OP deer. He starts with max stats with the skill limit breaker to allow him to transcend the gods. The world is in the pre historic era and after attending the most prestigious school (at which he was bullied) he and his human friends set of to save the world from the demon Lord. They travel while eating dinosaur meat (which spans 10 pages each time they eat) until he one punches the demon Lord so hard the demon Lord gets reincarnated into the MCs original world. At which point he is crowned the deer king!

    Yeah, I will continue it. I will probably switch to reading rather than listening as I find I only retain 50% of it when listening and working at the same time.

    I imagine the narrator can make or break a book.

    Yeah, some narrators are so bad that I will drop it immediately, alway listen to the sample when buying audiobooks.

    This narrator isn’t bad and I got use to him after a while, it was just a big change from Teachers English Dub VA. (It was the same with Spice and Wolf, Holos VA was the same for the audiobook and English Dub, but the audiobook didn’t have the haughtiness the anime did.)

    Also the VA does Frans hmpt very well.

    Reincarnated as a sword - Volume 01 to 02 (Audiobook)

    It took some time to get use to the Narrator, but they have grown on me. I really want to enjoy the story but I am still not sure, it still hasn’t got its hooks into me. It might be that I find the fights to be a bit long and start to lose interest.

    Ascendance of a Bookworm - Part 3 - Volume 01 to 03

    After rewatching the anime I have continued to reread the LN.

    When Myne became Rozemyne her family took her citizenship disc and put it on her grave. During the Hasse executions we learn that they are used to execute people.

    Isn’t leaving her disc the a huge risk? Veronica’s fraction dislike Myne and have a reason to get rid of her, wouldn’t they give anything to be able to get that disc and give it to Georgine to be destroyed?

    If they knew anything about the lower city and their customs they would be able to kill her anytime.

    So I reread the first twelve books of Reincarnated as a Sword again.

    Okay, so you really read a lot!

    None of that from you! Weren’t you the one who said a month ago you read a volume in an evening!

    Especially with so little overlap of books read by the small community

    All I am hearing is that we need to start converting the world to LN readers

    The method that worked on me was cliff hangers and wanting to know what happened next. So I propose we start lobbying the Anime studios to end every episode in cliff hangers and roll a dice each week to see if that episode should be aired. Then we will spam the comment sections with links to the LNs! (Now my stock in LN Translation Companies will increase and I will be rich! Muhahahah)

    Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles - Volume 10 to 13

    I have carried on reading this series, it is losing me a bit but I will probably carry on for a bit longer.

    Side note - Are the side stories suppose to be cannon to the story? Some are fairly normal filling in bits between events. Others are having the professor be a teacher on earth and Latifa meeting a magical girl and becoming a fox magical girl.

    Rant - Volume 13 Spoilers

    The biggest let down is the Liselotte + Latifa meeting.

    I don’t know if the author was running out of pages and wanted to end at a cliff hanger to make sure we pick up the next one. But you don’t talk about how the non MC group members were finally going to be able to try more Japanese food and how Liselotte and Latifa were going to actually meet for the first time after just watching each other on the bus for years on earth. Then make it 1 paragraph, saying that the MC had to play party games and ate food!

    If this was death March the meeting would have been at least a chapter if not it’s own volume.

    Also what ever happened to the Yagamo people? It’s been 11 Volumes since he left and nothing has been said. Were they purely to set up his dedication to his revenge by speaking to his parents graves? The way they spoke made it seem like the master swordsman was going to follow the MC whether he wanted them to or not. I am waiting for them to turn up somewhere.
