Denmark: Did you say “please” even once?
I had them many years ago when I visited WI, and thought they were pretty damn good for a fast food joint. They finally migrated down here to Florida, and I went and sat in the drive-thru for over an hour when they weren’t even that busy, maybe 3 cars ahead of me, and the food was lackluster at best.
I fully support keeping things regional. Sometimes the magic just can’t be replicated when it’s too far removed from home.
The only moral abortion deep state is my abortion deep state.
As George Carlin once said, “you don’t need a formal conspiracy when interests converge.”
The Heritage Foundation and the GOP have no love for Putin and he has no love for them. They all just want the same thing in regards to the EU and NATO, but they all want it for different reasons.
Trump is too stupid to be part of a major international conspiracy. He’s a useful idiot who thinks he can financially benefit from all this chaos, and that’s as deep as his thought process goes. Heritage wants the EU and NATO gone because it would give the US more leverage on the world stage, and because western Europe is a Godless Liberal society where religion is dwindling and brown people are moving in. Putin wants the EU and NATO gone because it would give Russia more leverage and make it easier to expand his borders and rebuild his glorious Russian Empire.
хет-трик or “khet trik” is a common Russian phrase, borrowed from the English “hat trick”, to describe three consecutive successes.
If you read the Bible with a purely objective mind and come away thinking God is the good guy in the story, I have some serious questions about your morality and ethics.
Many years ago I was doing carpentry in a mansion on Kiawah Island, and the owner had brought back these huge clam shells from Greece that he turned into bathroom sinks.
“The vaccination has stuff we don’t trust”
I would bet money this man could not name a single ingredient in a measles vaccine.
One of Henry Kissingers ideas.
Yep. He was an absolute monster. This quote by Anthony Bourdain always comes to mind when he gets brought up:
“Once you’ve been to Cambodia, you’ll never stop wanting to beat Henry Kissinger to death with your bare hands. You will never again be able to open a newspaper and read about that treacherous, prevaricating, murderous scumbag sitting down for a nice chat with Charlie Rose or attending some black-tie affair for a new glossy magazine without choking. Witness what Henry did in Cambodia – the fruits of his genius for statesmanship – and you will never understand why he’s not sitting in the dock at The Hague next to Milošević.”
Wake up, babe! New Republican gun restrictions are about to drop!
I wanted to like Night Country so much. Great cast, great acting, not even a bad story at its core, but for some reason it just came out… kinda meh. They leaned waaaaay too hard into hinting at a supernatural element, which all turned out to be nothing. It was very anticlimactic.
I’m not on the jury.
Luigi Mangione was trying his best to close that gap.
Fuck it. More graffiti. Some trippy cats.
For anyone who is not familiar, Asheville is a very Left-leaning city in a deep red state. Last time I saw that many granola crunching hippies was in my mom’s photo albums of the Haight-Ashbury district in '69. I’m not saying the town hall was full of Democrats, or that Asheville doesn’t have its fair share of dyed-in-the-wool conservatives. I’m just saying that the general mindset in Asheville leans much further Left than the rest of NC, and that may explain why Edwards was getting so much shit from the public. Buncombe County (where Asheville is) voted 61% for Edwards’ Democratic opponent Caleb Rudow in 2024.
Here’s a pic I took of some graffiti while I was up there not long ago.
This goes a bit further than that. They are trying to make spray-painting “ASSHOLE” on a Tesla an act of terrorism akin to burning down a Tesla factory. The two are not the same. This kind of law would make every graffiti artist a terrorist. That’s not what anti-terrorism laws should be used for.
Not once the ball gets rolling, no. Plenty of Fascism has been averted through preemptive nonviolent action though. In fact, that’s basically how Democracy works; Constant nonviolent vigilance keeping Fascism at bay. But once Fascism gains traction, the only thing that works to get rid of it is violence. More people need to understand this. It’s like that Kyle Reese speech in the first Terminator movie.
“It can’t be bargained with. It can’t be reasoned with. It doesn’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop… ever, until you are dead!”

While you can argue that coordinated acts of destruction against Tesla dealerships could be defined as domestic terrorism, individual acts of vandalism against Tesla vehicles do not fall under this definition, nor should they. Otherwise, you could classify someone like Banksy as a terrorist. Is that the kind of world you want to live in?
I’ve had Sonic in Florida and SC. There was one in Charleston that was consistently good, but every other location I’ve been to has kinda sucked, unless you’re really into mayonnaise and wilted lettuce sandwiches.
