It’s called a plate carrier, as the name implies it carries just a bullet proof plate that covers lungs and heart from the front and back. They are very useful if you have a lot of gear you need to also bring flash bangs, IFAC, ammunition etc. Sometimes they don’t even have the plate in them.

Groin area, lots of things down their that don’t like getting shot but will still immobilize you. Also typically just as wide as the torso.

I nearly died the first time I turned the blinker on in the new car. I was changing lanes and I put the blinker on to signal I was heading over their. I saw the car next to me and was signaling to let everyone else know I was going to go over when it was clear. Then the car started making all these noise and scared the crap out of me. Come to find out the car warns you with a loud audible alarm if their is a car near your blind spot.

I don’t even think the colleague is a dick. OP doesn’t like kids so they wouldn’t want to do this, no problem. Colleage has kids and wants to meet up but has to bring kids, that doesn’t make them a dick. It’s just their circumstance at the moment. I have kids, if I want to go out with friends I either make sure they are OK with it or find someone to watch them. If a friend reached out to me and wants to hang out but I have nobody to watch the kids then I’m not a dick for saying if you want to then I have to bring the kids.

I stand by the fact that even IF this was the ending he had in mind he would have been able to build to it better than the bullshit that D&D did with it. If the last season was drawn out over 3 seasons it would have made a lot more sense.

Still a crappy ending but it could have been better.

If there was any lesson learned from GoT TV show it was don’t let the TV show finish before the books do.

I enjoy standing while in meetings, helps me think so it just made that easier. I used to stand 80% of the day now I find myself sitting 80% of the day.

I put my girl down a year and a half ago. She was an eight year old rottie that loved life, Loved kids and loved me. She had cancer growing in her brain/snout that was making her angry, agitated and a danger to others. Could I have waited a month or two longer? Maybe, but she wasn’t happy anymore so it was time. I paid for an autopsy because I wanted to know, the cancer was everywhere in her skull/ muzzle taking up 1/5th the brain cavity.

Holding onto her for longer was unfair to the years of happiness she gave me. In the end I couldn’t be selfish and had to let her go. So maybe try that route with your wife? It was the hardest decision I ever made and I cried all the way to the vet and thought about turning around a couple of times.

Use port security to stop automation and Guest SSID/VLAN from accessing places it shouldn’t.
