I downvote comments if they are factually wrong, if they are mean or derogatory or if they are needlessly critical of another commenter. I personally don’t care if I get downvoted or even upvoted, I’m just here to speak my mind, hear others opinions, rant or vent or sometimes engage in a pleasant text conversation with a stranger.

I hope so. It’s a more open platform and in some ways the interface is better (but as with most of fediverse tools it requires a wee tiny bit of learning to undo the programming of using proprietary webpages).

Blame the lawyers for not following the correct way to make their filings. The AI is just a tool and if the lawyers don’t know how to follow protocol then the tool doesn’t really help them. If they passed the bar and practice law maybe they are just being lazy? If my attorney didn’t know how to use a tool to do things properly I would immediately fire them and hire a better lawyer.

I agree, however the concern would be that the free buses would be utilized as rolling homeless shelters.

benign prostatic hyperplaia. aside from having to get up to tinkle a few tablespoons every half hour or every time I stand up, without the meds I can’t go at all then bladder backs up and causes terrible kidney pain and does damage. on the meds I can empty the bladder but then it’s hard to hold it in plus it ruins orgasms, dry firing is just weird feeling and not satisfying. I’m only 50 and want to go until at least my 80s but decades to go looks intimidating. i can get the turp surgery but will never ejaculate again which makes me sad. i suppose peeing is more important.

And I’m doubtful the pope’s message will reach Thiel the way he hopes it will, the guy will interpret the message as an endorsement of the work underway.

I am not a fan because of his stance on the core economic issues in western Canada, and his overprioritization of social issues. I find too many politicians and too many of their supporters are working to try to force people to behave certain ways (beyond their legal duties to pay taxes, not commit crimes or legal wrongdoings etc), embrace certain beliefs that they just might not hold, and basically be someone that the government approves of or sanctions. There is too much focus on inequality and not enough acknowledgement on the already existing legal equality that we do have. All levels of government these days need to relinquish control over individual’s autonomy more. It’s a concerning trend that has really amped up over the past 10-15 years and the NDP under Lewis wants to go even harder.

Not an Avi Lewis fan but at least he is on the correct side of logic on that issue.
