This is about where I am as well. G2 Base station is ordered, and I have some heltec-V3 clients to play around with. A box of T1000-Es to hand out to the kids will be next. We’re in a Louisiana river delta so the land here is mostly flat, just trees and some <5 story buildings in a city of ~200,000 people. Hopefully we can get some good range with the mesh and grow pretty quickly. I’ve only seen two other nodes so far.
No idea about bike licenses.
High power radios in the hands of people who don’t know what they’re doing can cause a lot of issues. FRS/GMRS radios under 2 Watts in the U.S. don’t need a license. Licensing is a way to make sure people using them know how to do so effectively, and provides for stiffer penalties if someone unlicensed causes issues.
There’s a bug which AFAIK was never fixed which makes the cell a door is in count as “outside” for heat calculations. Since it’s a door it still limits heat flow to surrounding cells, creating a hacky way of removing waste heat from rooms.
It looks like a photoshopped version of a good UX. If that’s the case, then based on the comments you’ve made a good mockup 😆
I agree completely! When i teach the concept of Biodiversity to my classes it quickly spirals to other topics. Everything is related.
Welch’s Fruit Snacks. The Halloween packs are small and very snacky, only $0.10 each at costco.
I think it depends heavily not just on the PI and student, but the field of study and department as well.
It really is amazing what you can do with statistics and a large enough data set. I can’t wait for what this brings the community in a few years!
In a different version of the article the outlet and plug were locked out. That’s why the janitor flipped the breaker.
While Lakshmi waited for the freezer’s manufacturer to come perform repairs, her team added a safety lock box around the freezer’s outlet and socket. A warning was posted on the freezer, according to the court filing.
“THIS FREEZER IS BEEPING AS IT IS UNDER REPAIR. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE OR UNPLUG IT. NO CLEANING REQUIRED IN THIS AREA. YOU CAN PRESS THE ALARM/TEST MUTE BUTTON FOR 5-10 SECONDS IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO MUTE THE SOUND,” the warning read, according to the suit.
Check out the audio file in this article linked from the original post. Very cool. https://www.openculture.com/2013/10/what-ancient-greek-music-sounded-like.html
Interesting! Most of my yeast comes from White Labs. I haven’t tried it myself, but have seen some commercial beers treated to reduce gluten and would guess it’s the same enzyme. It would probably work for me though my wife is much more sensitive.
Amazing find. And check out the Arrowhead next to it. Excellent craftsmanship.
The Battle for Wesnoth is my all-time favorite FOSS. Can’t understate it.
That is a very thorough article, and an enjoyable read as well! Excellent addition to the community.
I also just looked up The Food Lab, and it’s now on my Father’s Day wishlist :-D
I’m not sure about this particular paper, but usually you can compare the number of mutations in a common protein and use that to estimate how long ago a common ancestor existed. As an example here is a graph of the number of mutations in mitochondrial DNA for the protein Cytochrome C. The more mutations you accumulate in a genome the larger amount of time since they split from a common ancestor.
I suppose it is the original recycling program haha
Ah yes, we have a necromancer in our midst 😎
Hmm. The server is up right now. Does it give an error or just sit there?
I can say I’ve had horrible luck trying to sign up through the apps. It works much better through a standard browser for initial sign up.
Is it a 2.5 wavelength or a 2.5 dB omni? A 2.5 wavelength is much larger than 33 cm and will have dead spots.
But in general it will be harder for it to hear a transmission from the internal T1000-E compared to any significant external antenna.
