Is its financially feasible (or maybe barter with something else), to have a sitter just to give yourselves an evening or weekend afternoon off? Just a few hours where you’re not working and not being parents. Have a park or coffee date together.
There is an idealized definition and configuration of Christianity, its Jesus Fucking Christ. Do you act like him and what he taught (or at least try your best to)? Christian. Do you do literally the opposite of what he did and taught? Not Christian. It not hard.

We have reached the point where I genuinely cannot tell reality from satire.
“Is this real? Am I eating the onion?”
I don’t even know anymore.

I think “genre episodes” is more fitting than “gimmick”. On the one hand, I like the meta-ness of SNW exploring all the genres of film and television. And I like to imagine how much fun the actors are having, being able to act in so many genres and some their charterers in different ways. On the other hand, it’s tiresome. This kind of thing only works well written it’s the occasional episode, not the whole season/series.
I say this as someone who found the soap opera episode hilarious. The problem is that the episodes become more about the genre-of-the-week than it does about the story.

Migrants do have the right to protest. People who are no longer in the country legally do not have a right to stay in the country. People were not taken into custody for protesting, they were taken into custody because their visas have expired. The two are entirely separate issues.
I wanted to change careers to something totally different and took a course and found the maths beyond my capability to understand. That was when I found my ceiling. And you know what? That’s okay. I tried, and now I know I can’t do it. I won’t live the rest of my life wondering “what if” or regretting that I didn’t go for it. Instead, I changed directions and I’m about to (hopefully) graduate from a different masters.
In a similar vein, during my undergrad, I took one single class in 3D animation. Up until that point, I thought I would love it. Turns out I HATED it. I could do it, but I hated it. I’m glad I took that class, otherwise (again), I may have spend the rest of my life thinking about this ideal career and regretting not going for it. Instead, I’m so relieved that I never had to do it again.

I didn’t know who Jenny McCarthy was when I started watching The Masked Singer. I don’t keep up with a lot of pop culture, so I thought she was probably an actress who’d just been on shows hadn’t seen before. (I didn’t know Robin Thicke or Nicole Scherzinger were either, at first. And I often don’t know who the celebrity contestants are, too.) Then one time a contestant thanked her for her work… and so I wondered and searched online.
Ken Jeong is a comedian, but he was a medical doctor first and he continues to work enough as an MD to keep his credentials. How can stand to sit at the same table as her? Especially when it was COVID and people were literally dying by the millions. (That’s when I first saw the show.) I suppose the money is good enough for him to put aside his medical credentials and Hippocratic oath aside when he’s not actually practising.
I don’t know if people forgot, but you have people who should have done something about it who don’t care or support it , and you have a large voting bloc who don’t care or support it.
In Ontario, Canada, existing bike lanes are being removed because of premier is personally offended by people who live healthier lifestyles than him.

I know a couple who speak French and Spanish, and English is the majority language here. They speak and reply to each other in their own language. It’s amazing and I love it.

As one who’d seen lots of Days of Our Lives when I was a kid (parents, you know), I found this episode to be utterly hilarious in playing up the tropes. The “I’m your daughter” thing was a story straight out of Days. Getting Diedre Hall in was amazing. The transition over to Pike’s unprocessed grief was really good, and I’m glad they addressed it, as well as reveal more of what La’an’s got going ok in her.
As much as I was amused by this ep, I can totally see how it would fall flat for someone who has not watched soaps, and I’m not sure it was actually a good ep.

You may be interested to read about the scheme of intellectual and ethical development by William Perry. This website has it discussed only in terms of cognitive development, but I think you’ll see how it directly correlates to ethical development: https://neurolaunch.com/perrys-theory-of-cognitive-development/
I know someone who’d ordered a tent canopy/gazebo from the store. Heard no complaints from them about it.

I’m going to be the “um, akchually” person:
Lunar calendars, like the Chinese and Jewish ones, have leap months for the same reason the Gregorian calendar has leap days: to keep our seasons in line. It’s an entire, extra doubled-up month. However, one would say that year has 13 months, not 12. (At least for the Chinese calendar, not sure about the Jewish one.)
I care exactly zero.
Rexall and Well are owned by the same company. Rexall is on Well’s website, and Rexall expanded their offerings to include products from Well that they didn’t previously have. Also your can pick up Well orders at Rexall stores, and they share loyalty rewards. I certainly prefer them over Amazon and Shoppers Drug Mart where the same or comparable items are available. I still go to a local, independent pharmacy for meds, though.

Canada produces good content that we should be enjoying. CBC Gem is free with ads or for a reasonable, low cost ($7). CTV also carries Canadian stuff, though not as much as CBC. It also has some free offerings (not sure the subscription price). It is part of Bell, of course, but at least it is a Canadian conglomerate and not an American one. And both are available over the air, if you are in an area that receives their signals.
My dad (not even American, but he would 100% be Republican if he were) will randomly bring up Obama and Biden and blame them for the economy, and even blame them for what’s happening in Iran. He claims that Trump had no choice but to attack Iran because of what Obama and Biden did to the economy 🤦🏻♀️
My father has multiple degrees and a professional designation, but he is living proof going to school doesn’t make you smart.
