This is probably why, despite constantly saying that trans rights is ‘bobo decadence’ or whatever, I’ve never seen class reductionist types criticise pinkwashing (aka imperialists saying that Muslims/ Africans/ Chinese/ South Americans hate gays so we should kill them). Like that is probably the only time in which the “LGBTQ rights is a distraction/ liberal propaganda” ever made some amount of sense to me. But this never seems to come up in any of their examples, likely because they also see decolonialism/ anti-white supremacy as nothing more but useless race-based identity politics.

All descriptions of anti-identity politics/ class reductionism, both from those for and against it, always sounds to me like “trickle-down economics with race, gender, orientation etc. instead of class”.

I think the Pokémon generation before Team PETA the anime had a rival character that was way worse than previous rivals/ antagonist characters. A lot of the fans say that he is better/ more mature but everything I read of him seems to suggest more than the Sinnoh arc’s writers were too cowardly to call out abuse and give consequences. In the Kanto and Unova arc the conclusion to the abandoned fire starters was that their previous trainers were abusive assholes, that their standards are not something they should be striving towards and that they owe nothing to their past abusers. With the Sinnoh rival the conclusion sounded more like “He is not bad he’s just different. Ash just needs to prove his strength to the POS who was mean to him for petty and childish reasons even though Ash has been nothing but kind. The abandoned fire starter just needs to prove his strength to the jerk who forced him to use a life-threatening strategy that could have killed him if not for Ash’s intervention and then blamed everything on him and abandoned him even though he won under Ash’s instructions.”

The first two seasons of Digimon had the Digimon partners wanting their specific human partners right after birth.

Season 3 (and I think 5) was when the Digimon partners were not born wanting to have a human partner and could choose their human partner. One Digimon’s backstory in 3 was that his human partners (who were much younger kids) were not good partners which got him to run away and the emotional consequences.

4 had no partners; the humans became the Digimon themselves.

If you take the stuff Newson/ Kamala/ Biden/ non-Zohran democrat supporters say in response to their poor LGBTQ rights/ Palestine etc. track record, remove all names, organisations and other identifiers and show it to a mid-2010s to just after COVID begun era liberal, they would likely call the person saying it a class reductionist tankie.

For a local chatbot I guess you could download Ollama and then the various models via Ollama on your system (it has DeepSeek and Qwen). Ollama will run the models locally. Then you can use either Chatbox or Msty to serve as a front-end for your llm models. Msty has something called ‘Knowledge Stacks’ where you can do things like load your core rulebooks and maybe pdfs or epubs of other stories you want inspiration from into a database that your llm models can reference across different conversations. Chatbox has something called Knowledge Bases that can allegedly do the same thing but I could not get that to work.
