It depends on industry and how specialized you are. But if you’re average maybe 40k.

That’s not high, I thought they make more. I make more as the scrummaster in the northern part of Sweden

I made ~40k a month delivering newspapers in Norrbotten, you sure you’re not underpaid? :D

I know I am, working at a company that is that big they don’t want to compete with salaries, we have awesome benefits though. I wasn’t complaining btw, just surprised a front end dev is only making 40k

Front end devs have almost never been in high demand and it’s just going down while many are joining that market (as it’s one of the easiest IT educations).

YoE doesn’t say much about how good you are, but it 100% plays a huge role in your starting salary at any given company. Given the same job interview, a 15 YoE person will get more than a 5Y person no matter what.

Nah not really in IT, there is too much variance in salary and many companies don’t look at YoE at all anymore.

With 1 YoE I and another coworker were paid more than coworkers with 10+ YoE, for same roles.

Then you didn’t join at the same time as the 10+ YoE guy. As long as you pass the basic test, YoE matters more than how good you are in a job interview.
