Just ask yourself this - why does it seem like Dems require a supermajority in both Houses and a Dem president to push the policies they claim to support at all (and even then only after lengthy negotiations and compromises with the GOP), and why does the GOP seem far more able to push policy and legislation with much less of a grip than that?
