As long as the permits are easy to get, I don’t see a problem. It would also protect homeless people from being poisoned by some psycho. If they’re allowing people to easily get permits, and just want to ensure safety that’s fine, the problem is that it’ll get abused by the police and anti homeless politicians
If the permit is easy to get then how will it stop a psycho from getting one and then poisoning people? Also, how often do we hear about people poisoning homeless people? I’m sorry, but to me, there is not a legitimate reason for the permit and is instead a clear attempt to starve the homeless out of town. I also have doubts that it’s even constitutional.
With a permit you can track who is distributing food and track it’s safety
Again, where are the cases of people poisoning food they give to homeless. You’re justifying a law by presenting a problem that doesn’t exist.
