I really hope the wedding delay doesn’t cause any problems between now and when it gets resolved, but I expect it will. The writers don’t drop things like that in for nothing (except when they do. In that case, it’ll be a throwaway bit of condition in 5 years about the date of their anniversary.)

Oh, I am sure that this is going a recurring issue for ages with circumstances meaning they never quite get married until either they, do once they’ve got is believing it’ll never happen (a real surprise punch the air moment), or there is some kind of terrible tragedy, possibly involving pig slurry (a nation mourns).
