Yeah, that lines up, the new Kremlin shills are also way more obvious than they used to be.

Combine it with the measly $500m purchase of Russian diesel, more valuable targets in Russia getting hit. Putin is seeing walls close in, and the oligarchs he has to keep happy… won’t be.

      Prigozhin was just too early.

The data center, specifically, may be a blow to his hybrid attacks on influencing the US election and the public discourse, increasing risk to expectations around maintaining his influence come Jan. If he feels Republicans will lose, he’ll consume his existing influence before it’s gone rather than keeping his secrets. If he fears his own demise, what long-term investments would he even want to develop in the US political system?

Ah, thats a good point. An animal caught in a trap has no use for the limb if it’s dead. Gnawing it off gives him a chance to at least keep fighting for survival, even if that chance still leads to him bleeding out.

Exactly. The more obvious and open the relationship, the less effort is put into hiding it. Inversely though, if he is very, very confident of a win, he can exploit his full influence now rather than waste resources hiding it for another month. Idk, I’m just some rando.
