Del Monte - a legacy to remember:
https://www.humanrightsresearch.org/post/an-evaluation-of-the-del-monte-human-rights-crisis-in-kenya
Famous for its wide range of products that utilize a variety of fruits and vegetables, Del Monte is a company that has undeniably made its mark in the world of produce. Amid its success, a violent series of human rights abuses loom in the backdrop. The allegations against the fruit plantation company go back several years with heinous crimes such as assault, rape and murder tainting its legacy.
Largely a depressing article, I grant you.
fucking hell!
What the fuck even is that serving suggestion?
The recipe is in the corner! It wasn’t uncommon for food ads or the back of packaging to have an insane recipe with it.
On the back of a recent box of Cheez-Its I bought, it had a picture of Cheez-It salty cheese crackers on an ice cream sundae. wtf??
I’m not 100% sure anyone eats most of them but it’s an ad, so it gets someone’s attention.
Sit him down with… hot dog corn spider
well, it was acceptable at the time
That is too much corn for one plate.
That’s the serving dish, there are 8 hot dogs there.

And sweet pickle relish! (Shudder)
I love vintage food ads because they sometimes come with recipes. I might give this one a try at some point just because I’m curious. Probably just do the bacon wrapped cheesy franks though. The corn is unnecessary.

Dear God.
Reminded of some commercials showing burgers, hot dogs, ham sandwiches, etc., being gently squeezed, all overflowing with a layer of artificial neon goo, looking honestly enticing for how smooth and thick it is.
Only it’s not a Velveeta ad. It’s for French’s.
