What will happen when a wolf and hyena open a shop in Seattle dedicated to furry artists and creators? E Pike will find out in 2027 when Furesh opens its new Capitol Hill store.
The costume design and fabrication studio has grown as a specialist in custom fursuit craftsmanship, with an emphasis on tailored bodysuits engineered for mobility, durability, and comfort, as well as standalone parts like paws and tails.
Now it is building out a furry den of creative retail along E Pike just east of 12th Ave. The grand opening is planned for January 7th, 2027.
I always think of furries as a pretty niche community, but manifestly it’s large enough to support businesses with storefronts, so I guess my perception is a bit outdated. There’s also a furry cidery called Slightly Furry (which makes very good cider, incidentally).
E Pike’s coming Furesh project will create a new home for the furry-focused group that has grown with work on design commissions, refurbishments, minor repairs, and specialized suit cleaning and maintenance serving the Pacific Northwest cosplay and anthropomorphic art community.
I also think that Seattle has a pretty large furry population. It’s really cool to see niche communities thrive!
I’ve heard that Slightly Furry is really good cider, but hot damn, some of their labels are incredibly sexualized. It’s a little off-putting lol
That tracks.
The cider is great if you can get past the labels though, I love the vanilla and the cherry ones
Good to know!
