    It is exhausting how unsurprising it is that some SDOT cameras “accidentally” made it in to an SPD crime center, and from there were “inadvertently” shared with the feds

    But perhaps the biggest finding from the audit was the revelation that the federal government has access to the data from some of SDOT’s cameras. This possibility, and the erosion of civil rights it represents, has been one of the chief criticisms against using surveillance technology in Seattle.
