The singer responded after a fan account tagged her in a post praising her recent fashion choices, claiming they preferred her current “feminine” looks over “those ‘trans’ looks aimed at a specific community”.
Goulding swiftly rejected the sentiment, replying: “Girl, no thank you. We don’t tolerate any anti LGBTQ+ in the fandom. I know you are better than this.”
Transphobia is bonkers. How does somebody’s fashion look “trans”? Are people going to start using “trans” the same way people used “gay” 30 years ago? “Oh, gross. That shirt is so trans.”
It’s nonsensical and dangerous.
