take anti-abolitionists, for example: their position was the overwhelming popular sentiment for centuries as yours is today, and the tankies of that time were derided for wanting to end slavery. today, the popular consensus is that all anti-abolitionists were simply racist dumb fucks, but that’s far from the truth – there were real reasons slavery persisted, and good, honest people supported it.
if people in the future had access to your thoughts the way tankies have access to lenin’s and marx’s thoughts, it could paint a fuller picture of why this well-documented system of oppression we have today should continue to exist – just as anti-abolitionists believed slavery should continue to exist.
