Well yes; that goes without saying. I’ll vote for who seems to be the best candidate presented. The difference is that I already know what the result will be provincially; it’s been the same in every election for the past 30 years. But at the municipal level, I can actually help shift the discussion, and I hope that in the long term, this will eventually spill over into provincial politics as well.
