Filesystems on OpenBSD have come in two varieties, UFS1 or UFS2. Ori Bernstein has set out to possibly introduce a new option, the “Good Enough File System”, which Ori describes as

    This is such a bright spot in tech right now. I would LOVE to have a resilient file system for OBSD. It would open it up to so many more use cases for me.

    I should watch the whole presentation when I can.

    If OpenBSD were to do this, OpenBSD would be the perfect server operating system for self-hosting internet-facing services.
